More than a quarter of men and 7% of women wear underpants for two days before washing them, according to a Kelkoo survey.

Not washing your briefs often enough can cause health problems including urinary tract infections and thrush.

There are several schools of thought on this age old question. Some people say that you should change them once a day, others say that you should change them twice a day.

Then there are those who argue that you should change your underpants four or five times a day as the need arises and then there are those strange people who think that you should change them at least once a year whether you need to or not.

How often you change your underpants is entirely up to you. It is a private and personal matter between you and your extremities.

If you are one of those people who change their underpants once a day, when exactly should that once a day be?

Should it be when you get out of bed in the morning?

When you go to bed at night?

At some point in between?

Deciding when that once a day is is the most difficult part, if you put clean underpants on first thing after you get out of bed you have whole day ahead of you. Through work rest and play you will be wearing the same knickers you will sweat in them, you will have to use the toilet at some point and maybe get dribbles of urine in them or even worse skid marks if you are not a good wiper.

You will possibly or probably expel a little wind from the rear end, or to us common folks fart,when you are wearing your daily pair of briefs.

Then you go home and either have a bath or a shower, when you are clean do you put back on those underpants that you wore all day? kind of defeats the purpose of washing yourself doesn’t it.

Then you wear them overnight in bed where again you will sweat and maybe even if you have an erotic dream get some other body fluids on them, thank goodness you will be changing them again in the morning.

No matter when you put your daily ration of underpants on during the day you will put them through the same routine but maybe just in a different order.

If you are one of those people who change their underwear twice a day then you are slightly more in touch with your personal Hygiene than those who only change once.

You get up in the morning put on a clean pair and after your daily routine you go home and have a shower or bath and put another clean pair on.

Of course you face the same routine as the once a day guy the only difference really being that you have more underwear in your laundry basket at the end of the week than he has.

It may really sound more hygienic and it probably is to a point, because through your daily routine you are wearing the same underwear for 12 hours at a time and 12 hours is a long time in the life of the underpant. Stains and smells have plenty of time to gather and have a little party together. At least they were clean when you put them on.

The Multiple Underwear Changer

There are some guys who take changing their underwear to the extreme, you will find these guys paying a visit to the toilet or changing room several times a day.

These guys have a problem and need psychiatric help, when he pees he changes them, when he poops he changes them, when he farts he changes them. The sad fact is that this guy would change his underwear every hour on the hour if it was possible.

It may be perfect hygiene for your extremities but think about all of that dirty and soiled underwear that you are carrying around with you throughout your daily routine. maybe you have more money then sense and can afford to throw your hardly worn underwear in the bin every time you change them.

Changing Your Underpants Once A Year

If you are one of those guys who think that changing your underpants once a year on your birthday whether they need changing or not, then I have to tell you some bad news.

You stink man.

You probably don’t care though what I or anyone else thinks about your chronic hygiene habits and you probably don’t really care about anything.

You are the guy that everyone crosses the road to avoid, they smell you about 20 minutes before they see you and when they see you they notice that you have a funny walk.

You only walk funny because your underwear has so many stains, fluids and feces stuck to them that they are as stiff as a board.

You are the guy who has a good sniff at the laundry basket to see which clothes have the least pungent smell when you are going out on the town.
